Fine estuary views, Victorian charm, complimentary drinks, and really good dining; minor parking and dining variety issues.

I loved its competent and top-class employees.
Many things to mention - everything was clean, splendid food, beautiful views. The hotel had a central location and it was very close to Toe in The Water Gallery. I spent some time with carbonated drinks in the relaxing tapas bar.

This is an outstanding hotel. The combination of a superb location with magnificant views, the elegant decor and the warmth and friendliness of the staff made our short stay memorable. Breakfast was cooked to order, with a good range of options. The directions provided on how to reach the hotel were excellent. Parking could be a problem in busy periods but we reserved one of the limited hotel spaces in advance and appreciated the phone call the day before to confirm this. Do make sure you walk down to St Catherine's point, and explore the coast paths in both directions. This is a wonderful spot to unwind. We strongly recommend this hotel and are looking forward to a return visit.

Superb location and friendly, helpful staff. The breakfast would be hard to improve on.
Dinner in the hotel dining room has to be a 3 course affair and the menu was very good - but sometimes you want to dine there but not necessarily have 3 courses. Guests also need to watch the new computer billing system which automatically adds on some items you may not have had - our bill was significantly above what it should have been - though the staff sorted this out quickly, pleasantly and apologetically.

The positioning of the hotel - fab views
The Hotel was in need of an update - seems to rely on its position and friendly staff - rooms tired and some areas could really do with a make over.

Couples looking for a quiet getaway, this place is great
The view over the harbour? Absolutely amazing, every morning I woke up and it seemed like a scene from an old movie. The staff were kind, one even treated us to a complimentary gin and tonic which was refreshing after a long drive.
It wasn't exactly cheap but for the experience, I'd say it was acceptable.
